Jitro

Integrating the Jitro residential project into the modernist rythm of the established Vršovice neighborhood in Prague was a distinctive challenge. Taking the site’s elevation differences into account, we designed housing that is both unique and full of unexpected, thoughtful solutions.

“As with all our buildings, the design responds to the urban structure of the surrounding area. We also respected the site itself, adapting the proposal to its proportions.”

– Lukáš Němeček

The new apartments of the Jitro Residence will become a natural part of the modernist neighborhood in Prague’s Vršovice. The building will highlight the existing area, with its vertical and horizontal proportions reflecting the form of the surrounding houses.

We are deliberately creating a dual relationship with the neighborhood, extending the city axis through the building into the courtyard, where a new layer of semi-public space will emerge between the street and the park.

A unique form of living

We placed great emphasis on materials, detailing, and greenery. From the street, the building presents a distinctive presence, while inside it reveals a surprising charm and offers a tranquil space for the communal life of its new residents.
The human scale of the interiors and the chosen materials may evoke the intimacy of small Dutch townhouses. Within the courtyard, we created a unique form of living in low-rise buildings, each with its own address and identity — an exceptional concept in the heart of the city.
